What this specialty covers.

ENT covers diseases of the ear, nose, sinuses and throat, and certain head and neck conditions. Treatment may be medical, functional or surgical depending on the condition.

This is the specialty where a short stay works best: a septoplasty or sinus surgery is dealt with in a few days, work-up included. The condition is arriving with the right tests — a sinus CT, a recent audiogram — so that half the stay is not spent redoing what already existed.

The technique used depends on your file. It is settled by the doctor at consultation and stated in your proposal before you travel.

We plan for them from the start: accommodation, transfers and presence at consultations.

What patients ask us.

No. Septoplasty straightens the septum to restore breathing; rhinoplasty changes the external shape of the nose. The two can be combined in a single procedure — septorhinoplasty — but the functional indication and the aesthetic request remain distinct.

No. Implantation is followed by activation, successive tuning sessions and speech therapy. The preliminary assessment is demanding in its own right. It is a pathway in several stages, which we plan with you rather than present as a one-off procedure.

Flying is generally not allowed for several days after middle ear surgery, and diving for several weeks. The surgeon sets the intervals; the return date is adapted before you even travel.

The cause must first be sought: hearing loss, middle ear disease, more rarely a lesion requiring MRI. Treatment follows that assessment; no protocol makes tinnitus disappear reliably, and anyone claiming otherwise should be treated with caution.

Have your file read before you decide.

A doctor reviews it and tells you what is possible, what is not and what it involves. With no commitment on your part.
